Synthetic Wig Care & Styling Tips
Very little effort
is required in styling and caring for synthetic wigs, which
makes them so convenient as you undergo treatment.
All of our synthetic styles are prestyled for your convenience, however, we
still recommend that you consult a professional stylist to achieve the best
shape. Shorter styles just need a good shake and they're ready to wear. Longer
styles can simply be combed or finger-styled to your liking. And, due to the
flexible and resilient nature of synthetic fiber, these styles hold all day, so
you never have to fuss over them. You'll look your best, all day, every day.
Tips for Keeping Your Wig in Top Shape
-
Always keep your own
hair and scalp clean.
-
When you're not
wearing your wig, store it on a Styrofoam styling head to
maintain it's shape.
-
Use specially
formulated wig shampoos and conditioners to clean and revitalize
your hair.
-
At the end of each
day, spray your wig with conditioner and gently remove tangles
with a styling comb or your fingertips.
-
If you have a
tightly curled wig, finger style it, as brushing can cause the
style to frizz.
-
Never use heat on a
synthetic wig! Remember, synthetic wigs are different from
your own hair, and cannot handle thermal styling. Never expose
your wig to excessive heat sources such as blow dryers, curling
irons or ovens.
Styling a Curly Wig
Give your wig a good shake and gently lift and separate the
fibers with your fingers. Tightly curled styles should not be
brushed, as this can cause the style to frizz.
Styling a Wavy Wig
For added volume and body, brush lightly using short, lifting
strokes.
Styling a Straight Wig
Brush this type of wig in long, even strokes for a smooth, sleek
look.
